I admittedly do not keep up with the rumor mill surrounding DTNG, and I don't live in Canada so everything I hear about the show is at least 6 months old, but I am very interested in the future of Degrassi. With most of the main characters having graduated, and the rest graduating in the current school year, is the show going to end? I noticed that they are introducing new characters like the new spirit squad unwed mom chick (I'm bad with names) and Darcy is in the main credits. JT has recovered from his suicide attempt and is back in the fold...

Does this mean that they are going to try to squeeze another few seasons out of the show or is it time for the fat Canadian lady to sing? I just don't want the show to end up recycling plots ala Dawson's Creek or trying to turn one of the current couples on the show into the next Joey and Kaitlyn.

Furthermore -- can we please put Joey and Kaitlyn back together for good? C'mon! I've been watching Degrassi since Degrassi Junior High was still fresh and Degrassi High was airing new episodes... those two need to get back together and get hitched. If they did it would bring a lot of closure and bring the whole thing full circle.

Do you guys have any ideas on the future of the show? I am really bored with the new(er) characters, so if too many of my faves leave, I can't say I'd stick around to see every episode...
